

Jeremy R. Miller is a seasoned attorney with deep experience in both domestic litigation and the fast-evolving fields of AI governance, privacy, and cybersecurity. Jeremy has guided federal agencies, health systems, and technology companies in operationalizing emerging AI, privacy, and cybersecurity regulations and building risk-informed, ethically grounded compliance programs. His counsel bridges legal strategy with technical fluency, helping organizations align with federal and international laws and frameworks, includes NIST, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO, and the EU AI Act. Jeremy has served as a trusted privacy expert for national health and research initiatives, leading the development of AI and privacy policies for CMS, NIH, and other federal entities. He is also the Chief Legal Officer and Co-Founder of Medical Match, a healthcare startup offering AI-enabled staffing solutions. Across these roles, Jeremy is known for translating complex regulations into actionable legal guidance, enabling innovation while mitigating risk. Balancing his regulatory work, Jeremy also maintains an active family law practice, representing clients in complex divorce and custody cases throughout Utah. Drawing on his litigation background and strategic mindset, he guides clients through difficult transitions with clarity, empathy, and a focus on long-term outcomes.

Paden Hanson joined Pearson Butler as an associate attorney in 2019. He currently acts as the practice lead for our corporate, business, and securities transactional team. His areas of focus include estate planning, securities regulation, corporate governance, and business formation and structuring. Since joining the Firm, Paden has counseled with hundreds of clients to assist them with their estate planning and business needs. He is particularly passionate about helping small business owners and entrepreneurs with their legal needs. Paden attended the University of Iowa College of Law, where he graduated in May 2019 with honors. As a student, he competed on the university’s moot court team and was a student writer and editor for the Iowa Law Review. Paden enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and looking for the world’s greatest Reuben sandwich.
